For registering themselves at LAGeSo, refugees receive a waiting number, first. Then, they wait for their number to be called. It is hard to tell, when this is the case. Waiting times of two to three weeks occur. Until recently, the only way for seeing whether one’s number has been called is to stand in the crowd at the LAGeSo site, no matter the weather, and watch the screen.
The website www.lagesonum.de has been created to overcome this problem. Volunteers enter numbers they see on the screen and refugees can query whether their number has been called. A cooperation with LAGeSo has been requested by the lagesonum-team, but there has not been an official answer, yet.
The source code of lagesonum is on github. The project is technologically based on Python 3.4 and the Bottle web framework. Helpers are welcome.
