• Migration Hub – a (new) co-working space for the good cause in the middle of Berlin

Katharina Dermühl and other fellow campaigners just opened the Migration Hub in the middle of Berlin, there is also a Facebook page about it: https://www.facebook.com/migrationhubberlin. The Migration Hub is a co-working space for people working at solutions for the refugee crisis, especially in the digital world. Active people can go there every day to work, organise events, hackathons, workshops and so on. The makers of the Migration Hub support by mentoring to assure the technical scalability of the projects.

With this new co-working space, you can now look for and find synergies and join forces for this very important topic! At the Refugee Hackathon, we go for the same target, but our Hackathon only exists for one weekend. In the Migration Hub, people can gather from now on to work at such projects (also at ideas for the hackathon in October) and especially to go on working at the projects after the hackathon. It offers a common place to work together.

In the entrepreneur scene, Paula Schwarz, one of the initiators, answered interview questions, also about the equipment:

How big is the Migration Hub?
The migration hub offers space for about 20 bis 30 work stations. There is a big 45 m² meeting room, a middle-sized 25 m² room and a small 20 m² room. People interested in using the rooms can book them in advance via email.

The Migration Hub is a great idea — we thank all the initiators! You can find it at Potsdamer Straße 144 in Berlin.
